What is CYB?
CYB stands for Colonie Youth Basketball. CYB is open to all students in South Colonie School Districts in grades 4th* - 8th. Each team competes in CDYBL. See below for more information.

What is CDYBL?
CDYBL stands Capital District Youth Basketball League and it is the most competitive basketball league for student-athletes in grades 4th through 8th. Click here for more info on CDYBL. Only students who currently live and attend South Colonie School District are allowed to tryout for the teams

How long is the CDYBL Season?
The typical CDYBL season starts in November and it goes until March. Each team in the CDYBL plays 15 games during the regular season, as well as two tournaments: Martin Luther King in January and the Championship Tournament at the end of the year.

Where are the games played?
All home games are played at Colonie High School (MUG) or Sand Creek Middle School. Away games are played at local schools. (for example: Shaker, Columbia, Bethlehem, Guilderland, Niskayuna, etc...) Majority of games are played on Saturday mornings, but some away games are played on Sundays. 

How much does the CDYBL cost?
The cost to participate in the CDYBL is $200. This fee includes: uniform, warm up shirt, league fees, tournament fees, referee fees, insurance and any other cost associated with the league. 

* younger students may be eligible to try out for the 4th grade team.
